Q. For how long am I supposed to use Aceret?
Your doctor will decide the duration of your treatment depending on the severity of your disease. Usually, the treatment with Aceret lasts for 4-5 months.

Q. I am a woman, and I have been prescribed Aceret, what should I do if I am planning to become pregnant?
Talk to your doctor if you are planning to become pregnant while taking Aceret. You should never get pregnant while taking Aceret and for 3 years after stopping it completely. This medicine can harm your baby. Stop taking Aceret and call your doctor immediately if you become pregnant while taking Aceret, or if you become pregnant within 3 years of stopping this medicine.

Q. Why does Aceret cause dry skin, dry lips and dry nose, and how to manage them?
One of the most common side effects of Aceret is dryness of skin, nose, and lips. This happens because Aceret reduces the secretion of oil from oil glands. Dryness due to Aceret can be managed by applying a moisturizer or a lubricant like Vaseline. You can also apply lip balm to get relief from cracked and dry lips.

Q. What will happen if I drink alcohol while taking Aceret?
Do not drink alcohol while taking Aceret or within 2 months of stopping this medicine. It is very important to avoid alcohol because alcohol can change the chemical composition of Aceret. This changed form of Aceret may take 3 years to get removed from the body.
